The Health Impact of Blue Light  & How this Epidemic is Affecting humans of all Ages

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO ME?

Professionals

The glaringly bright excel sheet that you’ve been staring at for the past six hours starts to swim together. Graphs, charts, and seemingly endless pivot tables no longer have meaning. The worst part? Your eyes feel heavy and sting, your head hurts, and you can tell that you’re not going to get this done any time soon.

Have you ever felt this way during a long work day? Maybe even pulling a late-night crank session to get ahead on that deadline? You’re not alone.

Does your day start with you rolling over and turning off your smartphone alarm?  You check your work email with one eye open because the light is so bright.  You lay in bed and maybe check the weather. Maybe check social media.  Regardless, you’re using your smartphone to kick start your brain.  It’s the new coffee.

Then do you head to work for at least an 8 hour day under fluorescent light and in front of the computer? Maybe you even have two monitors that you toggle between spreadsheets and data assets to create compelling insights and to meet looming deadlines. The good news is that you’re great at your job.  The bad news is that your eyes hurt!

Do you then return home to watch your favorite show on TV, while doing a bit more work on the computer and then researching the latest thing you’re interested in on your smartphone? Our world is a multifaceted multi-screen world and we’re all a part of it.

You’re probably not going to convince your boss to switch out the fluorescent lighting in your office to our low blue light lightbulbs, but what you can do is protect yourself by using our blue light filtering lenses. Learn more here.
